| I am concerned about the local businesses here in north Orange County. Many are struggling in this tough economy. Now is the time to step-up your marketing! Don't let your competition get one up on you. The steps you will need to take to keep going are:
1. Have a business plan - Hire a business consult.
2. Make sure you are branding your business.
How do I go about branding my business you ask?
* Have a logo
* Tag line (Nike's is Just DO It!)
* Print material: Business cards, Brochures, Flyers
* Promotional Items ( pens, t-shirts, etc.)
* Have website (This will lend credibility to you and your business)
* SEO (Search Engine Optimize) that website
* Join a networking group like the chamber of commerce
* Start a blog
* Create a profile page on LinkedIn.com, Facebook.com and Twitter.com (social networking works)!
If you think these steps might be too expensive, there are many business grants out there! Talk to a business consultant they should be able to guide you on how to take advantage of the stimulus money that is out there and help you with a business plan.
These are just a few basic steps. I have been networking in the Fullerton and Brea area for years and have met many prosperous people who follow and teach these steps. If you don't know where to find these people call your local chamber of commerce, they can help.
I hope this information helps at least one person out there. We all need to stick together in these tough times.
